Through the ethnography of an erotic messaging firm, we will see how the industry of hyperbolic sex, just like neoliberalism, benefits from the legitimacy of the market paradigm of capitalistic modernisation, as well as from the indivisibility of the forms of labour that are constructed on the solid foundation of masculine domination. When presenting itself, or when defining the positions of its staff, the company never explicitly mentions sexual markets nor services. Reality on the field shows that it is indeed a sex-related occupation, subject both to cadence and profitability criteria, with derisory salary levels for the workers, who fail to realise their occupation's specificity and the consequences on their health. © Martin Media.
