Abstract

Geographical and related information stored in the profiles of coalition operation members is of highest importance. The above information can be processed in order to build actual context for the current situation and create more efficient action plans. The profiles are assumed to contain such information as transportation means available, their current coordinates, availability, etc. Through inquiries of a geographical information system (GIS), the following information can be obtained: available roads (traffic management systems can also provide traffic situation information), current weather conditions (wind, temperature, precipitation), time of sunrise and sunset. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2009.
