SysML extension method supporting design rationale knowledge model

Abstract

To solve the problem of some system models with insufficient ability of supporting design process knowledge presentation, we propose an extension method for the systems Modeling Language (SysML) that supports the design rationale model in a collaborative design environment. We introduce the design rationale knowledge model into system modeling. Through this method, the expressiveness of the design context is enhanced. The designers’ understanding to the overall scheme can be improved.
