Abstract

Increasing staffing problems in obstetrical wards highlight the importance of ensuring optimal working conditions. Good interprofessional collaboration is an important factor in this context. A national survey of clinical midwives demonstrates a strong association between collaboration quality and job satisfaction, intention to leave and willingness to recommend the hospital. Ways of promoting successful interprofessional collaboration are presented.
