Dominican Republic is proposing and adopting measures to reduce the existent crime rate in the country, and to provide better protection to its citizens. One of the adopted measures is a secure communication system between users and police in which citizens can report suspicious activities. This research aims to comprehend how communication works between the client application and the police desktop and to study how the system, including reporting system and desktop application, is able to handle malicious code sent by a bad-intentioned user.
