Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the rhyme and the meaning of the pantun in the oral tradition of gambang rancag using a hermeneutic approach. In addition, the author hopes that readers will get to know and understand the Betawi gambang rancag, as well as gain insight into the types of rhyme rhymes. The research method used to analyze this pantun is descriptive qualitative method with an emphasis on content analysis. The focus of this research, namely the pantun on gambang rancag Betawi, and the subfocus of this research is based on the rhyme rhyme. The conclusions of the results of this study are the total number of rhymes used in the Betawi rancag pantun as many as 29 rhymes. There were 16 types of perfect rhymes with a percentage of 36.36%, 15 types of imperfect rhymes with a percentage of 34.1%, 0 types of asonance rhymes with a percentage of 0%, 0 types of alliterated rhymes with a percentage 0%, the types of rhymes with dissonance of 0 with a percentage of 0%, the types of absolute rhymes as many as 0 with a percentage of 0%, the types of front rhymes as many as 0 with a percentage of 0%, the types of rhymes as many as 13 rhymes with a percentage of 29, 54%, the types of the final rhymes as many as 0 with a percentage of 0%, the types of upright rhymes as many as 0 with a percentage of 0%, the types of flat rhymes as many as 0 with a percentage of 0%, the types of cross rhymes as many as 0 with a percentage of 0% , the types of hugging rhymes are as many as 0 with a percentage of 0%, the types of the rhyme rhymes with the percentage of 0%. 0%, and the types of broken rhymes are 0 with a percentage of 0%.
