Abstract

Robotic hysterectomy is the commonest gynaecological procedure and has the potential of becoming as important as robotic radical prostatectomy. Myomectomy is another important application of robotic surgery. In pelvic reconstruction, robotics has a particular role in sacro-colpopexy and vesico-vaginal fistula repair where non-randomised results are as good as open and laparoscopic surgery. A few cases of robotic colposuspension have been reported. © 2008 Springer-Verlag London.
