Abstract

Problem of the monitoring of the network performance is important task for different classes of network applications and services. In this paper the system for monitoring of network connections at transport layer is presented. In contrast to existing analogs the monitor is able to provide details on network stack operation visible only at Linux kernel level since the monitor presented operates in both kernel and user space. The paper describes high level architecture of the system, important features of the implementation and testing results. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
