The purpose of this paper is to discuss the importance of using XP activities to generate enthusiasm resulted from the positive affectivity of these activities. Quantitative method was used to collect empirical data and the statistical analysis was applied to infer the possibble conclusion on the relationship and the effect of applying XP activities. It can be concluded that selective XP activities do have the ability to improve the students' enthusiasm and performance. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2010.
