Abstract

In spite of the existence of several usability inspection methods, they are still insufficiently used because of various constraints, such as the absence of software environments to facilitate their use and the inexistence of guides to choose the best method to be used. This article describes the design of CWE (Cognitive Walkthrough Environment) which is an evaluation assistance environment exploiting the Cognitive Walkthrough inspection method. This environment is intended to facilitate the use of the CW method as well as several of its versions and extensions. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
