Abstract

Solid organ transplant recipients may be seen in primary care and urgent care outpatient settings for a variety of symptoms. When evaluating a new condition, it is important to determine whether the symptoms are related to the transplanted organ, side effects of immunosuppression or medications, or an unrelated illness. This chapter explores several common symptoms that may occur in solid organ transplant recipients, including dyspnea and cough, dysuria, diarrhea, and skin problems.
