Abstract

This paper describes a project designed to show how a multi-agent architecture can be used for optimization of object selection within cache memory, in relational database applications. A multi-agent system was designed using JACKTM (Agent Oriented Software Group), integrated with a SQL Server relational database and interfaced it with a Java Builder application. The system was tested by triggering agent actions. The agents used in this multi-agent system are intelligent agents. They model reasoning behaviour according to the theoretical Belief Desire Intention (BDI) model of artificial intelligence. Intelligent. © Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2008.
