Abstract

Regarding the paramount importance of temperature and humidity in the lives of all living organisms and even solid substances, this paper presents a quantitative spatial analysis of the variation of these two factors across the territory of Iran. Using spatial statistics concepts and methods, it provides the optimally constructed maps of temperature, humidity, and temperature-humidity-index. The corresponding standard deviation maps are also provided. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
