Abstract

Any estimation on a particular sector as the energy supply industry or the future demand for energy and its supply depend for energy and its supply depend on a plurality of parameters. Their influence on the reliability of such estimations can be just as negative as positive. Nevertheless, we have to anticipate future developments and conditions if the supply of energy is to remain assured. The author outlines what demands are being imposed on energy supply today and what possibilities suggest themselves to assure the supply for the medium and long term. An attempt is made at assessing these possibilities with a view to the demands mentioned and hence outlining future perspectives.
