Abstract

The chapter presents the basic metrics of the indoor environment that are used to as‐ sess the quality of living and working, together with the risk factors and pollutants indoors. From this point of view the non-woven textiles are presented and discussed. Different groups of non-woven materials are considered: floor coverings, wallcover‐ ings, upholstery and furniture textiles, filters of the HVAC systems, etc. Their particu‐ lar application on the indoor environment is presented and their effect on the metrics of the Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) is analyzed.
