Abstract

Ependymomas are the third most common pediatric brain tumor, following astrocytoma and medul-loblastoma. They are thought to arise from ependy-mal cells lining the ventricles and central canal of the spinal cord. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
