Abstract

A review on the techniques used for ovulation induction for women with polycystic ovaries. Topics covered include the basics of polycystic ovary syndrome and anovulatory infertility, lifestyle and wt. loss in PCOS, clomiphene citrate (CC) therapy, aromatase inhibitors, gonadotropin therapy, surgical ovulation induction, the role of metformin and other insulin sensitizers, in vitro fertilization treatment (IVF) in women with polycystic ovaries and in vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes.
