Abstract

Simulation is vital to many disciplines as has been shown throughout the book. Future specialists in every domain must include modeling and simulation (M&S) as integral part of their learning, education, and teaching the discipline itself. This fact has been accepted by various institutions, universities, and research centers as they incorporate M&S support to various scientific disciplines. This chapter enumerates venues that offer simulation-based education and training across broad disciplinary areas like Engineering, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Management, and Information Science. It emphasizes that simulation is an invaluable tool for experiential learning and teaching by performing—in silico (namely, computerized)—experiments and gaining experience.
