Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of renovation of public recreational spaces classified as historic heritage involving the use of systematic approach and analysis. This approach can scientifically justify the place and public significance of a rather specific and relevant type of architectural and urban planning activity consisting in harmonization and interaction between people (population) and landscape recreational environment inhabited by them [1,2]. The purpose of the research is identifying the integrity of historic spaces through analysis of interaction of industrial, household, recreational, and communicational processes in view of their restoration and choosing methods and techniques with specific examples from design practice in Voronezh.
