Abstract

This article intends to determine the presence of stressors, which lead to high stress levels and subsequently contributing to the employees' perspective of quality of work life (QWL) at a tertiary institution. Quality of work life refers to the extent in which employees are empowered to satisfy their own needs through their experiences in the work place in order to enhance productivity within organizations. Employers have the responsibility to establish a healthy workplace by placing a curb on stress and its resulting negative effects and to enable employees to accept ownership of their own lives in reaching optimum health and well-being.
