Abstract

Vaccination is an important strategy to prevent influenza and its related pneumo-coccal pneumonia. Combined influenza and pneumococcal vaccination should be recommended because of the synergic effects of the two vaccines, compared with either influenza vaccine or pneumococcal vaccine alone.
