Experiencias de política habitacional en México 1

Abstract

The purpose of this text is to show how urban problems in Mexico have evolved in time and to analyze critically government policies to face them. I put forward some ideas in order to transform current public policies or to create new ones and I make some comments regarding some examples of what soiety and the academic realm are doing in order to put some order within urban spa- ce and to conform an integrated national urban land and housing policy. Under such a perspective I start with this question: Which is the housing problem in this country?
