This paper proposes a new reversible data hiding algorithm in encrypted image by referring to MSBs (Most Significant Bits) of image blocks. While inserting one bit in a block, MSBs’ value of a block is computed for deciding the number of LSBs (Least Significant Bits) to be flipped. In such a way, image block’s smoothness characteristics can be exploited for improving data recovery rate for the same embedding distortion by comparing with the two existing state of the art works. Experiment results have proven the validity of the proposed method.
