FIRE RESISTANCE OF STRUCTURAL STEEL.

Abstract

How standard fire resistance can be related to fire resistance in practice is introduced. The method is applied to structural steel protected by materials having various thermal properties. The influence of fire severity on the fire performance of steel members, as well as the influence of other important factors that determine their fire resistance, are examined.
