Abstract

A review with 5 refs. The principle of cold gas generation systems where the developed gas flows through the still unreacted porous solid propellant to preheat it is presented and characteristics of NaN3-based systems for various applications (emergency change-over systems for pipelines, rescue rafts, life jackets, air bags, and fire extinguishing systems) are briefly described.
