Abstract

In this paper, a method to simulate the tensile stress-strain behaviorof strain hardening cementitious composites (SHCC) is described.Experimentally obtained information on the fiber bridging stress-crackopening relationship of individual cracks is used to simulate theformation of multiple cracking in the strain hardening stage of SHCCand the development of crack spacing and widths are captured quantitatively. The simulation results compare well with experimentally obtainedresults of the composite response in the uniaxial tension test.
