Abstract

Discusses relevant events such as the Mäori cultural renaissance, biculturalism, health reform and the influence of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in tino rangatiratanga and the preservation of taonga (Wepa, 2015;Ministry of Health [MOH], 2020). Compares past and present health inequities to identify variation or change with the introduction of cultural safety.
