Abstract

The hippocampal network consists of three types of synapses that form a circuit. A spatiotemporal signal serves as the input to the hippocampus and is transmitted through a synapse in the dentate gyrus (DG) to the CA3, then through another synapse to the CA1. There also exists a simultaneous input which directly connects to the CA1.
