Histological grade is a simple and relatively accurate morphological measure of the degree of differentiation of the tumor and provides an overview of its intrinsic biological characteristics. It has a strong correlation with prognosis. This chapter deals with the basic principles of grading, its methodology, and evidence supporting its importance in clinical practice.
