Abstract

This paper analyzes and designs a monitoring system on public topic based on cloud computing and NLP technology. The system solves the internet massive data processing and computational complexity based on Hadoop platform; it realizes the analysis on the web page, extraction of public opinion and tracking technology based on NLP techniques and machine learning technology; it also can analyze the feelings on the users' comments and further determine the trend of public topic based on emotional thesaurus; finally, it provides a visual interface and the retrieval interface for users to use this system. Implementation of the system will improve the efficiency and quality of public topic. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2012.
