Abstract

This chapter brings you a step-by-step guide on how to approach the actively seizing patient in status epilepticus. The differentiation of the simple versus complex febrile seizure is a must-know for all providers caring for the seizing pediatric patient. The differential diagnosis table of nonfebrile seizures is a “Quick Hit” that can easily be accessed while difficult to remember.
