Abstract

examine developmental and clinical issues related to adolescent heterosocial interactions and dating / the full range of adolescent development is discussed, from young adolescents (e.g., age 12) to adolescents in college / a variety of issues associated with normal development of heterosocial interaction and dating will be examined, including the developmental context, components of heterosocial skills, influences on heterosocial interactions, and sexual activity / problems in the development of heterosocial interactions and assessment and intervention approaches are discussed / future directions for examining heterosocial interaction and dating among adolescents are proposed (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2012 APA, all rights reserved)(chapter)
