Abstract

This chapter provides an argument for the usefulness of the Actor Network Theory today. Actor Network Theory is widely used to analyze actant interactions within a given system(s). Today due to the emergence of a technology-driven world, there is an increased interaction between human and non-human actants in different systems. These interactions are producing heterogeneous and unstable complex systems. Hence, this is the age of the ANT. Although ANT is widely used, its utilization in the analysis of the emerging complex systems is low. This chapter provides an argument as to why ANT should be used as an analytical tool for exploring, diagnosing, investigating, and the interrogations of current complex systems.
