Many techniques have been described over the last decades for surgery on the primary nasal tip. In the early 1980s, and with respect to ethnic variations on the Colombian population, Fernando Pedroza described the New Domes technique and the Banner technique: the former for the Caucasian nose and the latter for the mestizo, Arabic, and African nose. The bases and the technical aspects of both techniques are described, including recent changes to adapt them to the open approach. Consistent long-lasting good results achieved on thousands of patients around the world support the effectiveness of the New Domes and the Banner techniques.
