Abstract

Testing is a critical part of the software-engineering process.Coverage tools provide information about which components are exercisedby a test suite, but they do not assist programmers with the important problem of how to increase coverage. We propose a tool to addressthat problem: Using the program’s control and flow dependences, thetool helps programmers determine where to focus their efforts, and howto force a chosen component to be exercised.
