Abstract

An electro-hydraulic control system for the thrust speed control in TBM was introduced and its dynamics model was established. An endocrine intelligent controller was then designed based on the endocrine hormone regulation principles for improving effects in thurst speed control. And on this basis the co-simulation of thrust hydraulic system was conducted in AMESim and MATLAB/Simulink software environments. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed endocrine control has better control performance and adaptability compared with conventional PID control. The proposed endocrine strategy provides a possible new way for thrust hydraulic system of TBM, and also extend the applications for endocrine intelligent control. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
