Abstract

Nowadays data exchange through computer networks has increased to a great extent. Though the advancement in internet technology has made our life more easy and convenient, this rapid growth in internet usage and data sharing has given many challenges to the researchers. Providing security to the data sent through the network which may be a normal text, image, audio or video has been a big challenge to the network community till now. Watermarking, a technique applied to hide an information, has seen a lot of research interest recently. Many E-Commerce and E-Governance applications needs some method to protect ownership and copyrights by which the unauthorized access to digital products can be detected and controlled. This paper presents an implementation and comparison of Biowatermarking with palmprint using DWT, DCT and LSB algorithms. The experimental results show that the quality of watermarking using LSB is higher than DCT and DWT.
