Abstract

The purpose of the present paper is to provide a general overview of the current state of art in the field of the Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) for the home telemonitoring of patients affected with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The paper will highlight which are the main physiological parameters measured and collected by the CDSSs for the telemonitoring of the patient’s health status, the main algorithms used by the CDSSs to make clinical decisions according to the gathered data, the performances in terms of Accuracy, Sensitivity and Specificity reached by the CDSSs and the main issues linked with CDSSs in this field.
