Abstract

In this work we investigate the statistical properties of a coronal loop subject to a turbulent heating along the lines of Cargill (1994) work. We are interested to see whether or not the statistical properties of the heating function are conserved during the cooling process. We model a coronal loop as composed by n identical threads heated by nanoflare events. We present preliminary result where we show how the geometrical parameters of the model and the physics assumed may affect the energy spectrum. We also simulate the radiative signature of this process to be compared with instrumental observations.
