Abstract

The historical background of the current National Forest Inventory (NFI) of Peru began in the late 1960s when the need to complete a NFI was expressed through a project proposal developed by the Departamento Académico de Manejo Forestal de la Universidad Agraria La Molina (DMF-UNALM) (Forest Management Academic Department at La Molina National Agrarian University) (Malleux 1975).
