Abstract

Over the past decades, several studies have shown the role, effects, and importance of different nutrients, such as vitamins and other compounds in the proper functioning of our body. Some of these substances, such as omega-3 fatty acids, besides the fundamental role in the proper functioning of our organism, have been studied as tools for reduction of withdrawal symptoms and/or addiction treatment. Throughout this chapter, we will see some examples of nutrients with potential for this purpose.
