Abstract

Therapist-assisted online treatment is a new model of mental health service delivery that combines the use of web-based interactive resources with brief weekly online sessions with a counselor. This chapter explores this new area of mental health treatment through the authors’ experience implementing an intervention program targeting anxiety in college students at a large public university. Research support, training recommendations, and considerations for working as a counselor with this model are explored.
