Abstract

UML sequence diagrams are used to describe concepts related to behavioral view of systems. In other hand, Petri Nets models are tools for the performance analysis of distributed systems. Graph grammars aims to bridge the gap between semi-formal models and formal notations. In this paper we propose an approach for transforming UML sequence diagrams to labeled generalized stochastic Petri nets. Since the input and the output models are graphs, we use Java based graph transformation to perform this process automatically. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
