This article develops a reflection on ghosts in relation to spaces and emotions. It is argued that ghosts are in-between the visible and the invisible, life and death, present and past, absence and presence. They can contribute in developing complex geographical perspectives, ultimately challenging dichotomist conceptions of space and social phenomena by emphasising the role of what and who is absent in shaping relational and emotional fields. In this sense, the article suggests that a geographical spectral sensitivity will be useful in recognising the meaningful presence of ghosts in spaces, relations and bodies, in so doing forging everyday geographies.
