Conclusion: Rethinking Europeanisation

Abstract

The conclusion summarises the major findings of the chapters and discusses their contribution to the study of Europeanisation as part of EU enlargement. By doing so, it will assess the usefulness of the theoretical framework as well as the knowledge gained from the application of Europeanisation to different policy areas. Furthermore, it asks some wider theoretical questions and point towards areas that will need further academic investigation.
