Abstract

The editors of Rock Products take a close look at some of the trends that are impacting various segments of the rock products industry. The trends discussed include a trend toward increased use of vertical impact crushers, a trend toward more innovation in blasting, a trend toward increasing cone crusher efficiency by choke feeding, a trend toward more foreign investment in the U. S. cement industry, a trend toward the use of blended cements, a trend toward the use of more imported cement from more overseas countries, a trend toward more efficient marketing in the cement industry, a trend toward increased production of manufactured sand, and a trend toward increased use of hydraulic excavators.
