Abstract

Telecommunication Management Network (TMN) system has been researched for the management of several networks with more efficiency and generality As it is constructed based on different hardware, operating system and agent/manager-generating toolkit, there are some problems in development, maintenance & administration of class and method in distributed object (DO). All of agents and managers should keep up their componentwares redundantly for the same function. To solve these problems, this paper suggests Farming methodology based on Farmer's model, which originated from network computing concept. With the methodology, the redundant software and data components in the distributed objects are moved to platform independent class repository in the form of componentware. After setting up the framework of DO, some small componentwares are loaded dynamically to DO, while others are loaded statically. In the static case, the size of the loaded componentware size is considerably large in comparing with dynamic loaded componentware. The reason to divide componentwares into two classes is to have efficiency of TMN system. While running of TMN, DO's can do self-adapt componentware for the evolution of network environment.
