Abstract

A new species of Brachycephalus is described from Serra da Bocaina, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The new species is characterized by having, in preservative, body uniformly pale cream, dermal ossi. cation of the vertebrae composed of a bulge forming a row, and absence of ossi. ed warts on the body.
