Abstract

Conservation of biodiversity is a global responsibility, and forest trees are a major part of the resources which have to be managed. We need to highlight what we do know and what we do not know about biodiversity. A number of research areas are described which need enhanced attantion in order to adopt wise strategies for conservation and development. -Author
