This paper offers a preliminary study of Pedra da Póvoa, a carved monolith displaying curvilinear motifs and one deer, possibly dated to the Iron Age, which was recently discovered in Northern Portugal. It provides an account of the find conditions, spatial environment, a de-scription of the engravings and a preliminary discussion of its chronological and stylistic contexts.
